INTEGRATED DIRECTORY FOR VECTOR LINUX BUILD
===========================================

This is the kitchen of Vector Linux.
Expect to find sink, tub, and rubbish !!!

If you are a USER
-----------------
Are you looking for ready made packages or iso ?
Please go back. This is not the place.
Look at veclinux-VER directory instead.

If you are a VECTELOPER CANDIDATE
----------------------------------
Are going to contribute something for Vector Linux ?
Welcome, please download these:
- Find a suitable ISO for host, the options from the lightest are:
  RELEASE/iso-dynamite/vldynamite-VER.iso.
  RELEASE/iso/vl-VER.iso.
  RELEASE/iso-soho/vlsoho-VER.iso.
- kits/checkinstall (only if you are using Slackware host)
- kits/vecpkg2 (only if you are using Slackware host)
- kits/vecteloper (the build script, mandatory)
- individual tarball under tar as you wish.
- If you have the bandwith, try the bundle tar-vldynamite-5.0.tar.bz2
- see the doc directory about the HOWTO

If you are a VECTELOPER contributing a ready made package (*.tgz)
------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have made a package-*.tgz using the checkinstall or vecpkg2
tools, please put it under tgz directory on the appropriate GROUP
(tgz/cli/COER, etc).
The chief will use it to build the distro, and the plaza maintainers
will move it to the official RELEASE/packages or RELEASE/updates
after testing it.

If you are a VECTELOPER want to contribute a tarball-dir (*.tar.bz2)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Mind you, the tarball is NOT a raw tarball,
but a ready to compile Vector Linux tarball directory.
You made it using the vecteloper tool-kit.
For each package, you should have 4 files to upload:
  - package-VER-i586-vl5.tgz
  - package-VER-i586-vl5.tgz.md5
  - package-VER-i586-vl5.txt
  - package-VER-src-vl5.tar.bz2

The most appreciate one is the last (*.tar.bz2).
Please put it under src directory on the appropriate GROUP
(src/cli/CORE, etc).
Optionally, put the *.tgz, *.tgz.md5 and *.txt under pkg directory.
Of course, on the appropriate GROUP.
The chief will use the tarball to build the distro,
while the plaza maintainers will move the package
to the RELEASE/packages or RELEASE/updates.

If you are a DOCUMENTOR or ARTIST
----------------------------------
Got screenshot, graphics, or documents, or anything ?
Please put it under var directory,
or if you are sure, feel free to put it directly
into the RELEASE/doc or RELEASE/var.
Warning, that directory is official !

Don't forget to leave a message on VL forum,
so everybody will know your contribution quickly.
