Nvidia and ATI Proprietary Xorg driver

Notice

You will need to configure X server to activate nvidia or fglrx driver:
If you did not follow the instructions when you installed the driver this may help.

1. Exit from X to prompt (see Shutdown menu).
2. Type " xorgwizard " (without the quotes).
3. Try the " Probe " option first.
4. Choose a desired resolution.
5. You are recommended to then choose " Test "
6. This will test X and give you results.
7. Once you are done, Type " xwin " to restart X.

If that fails


1. Exit from X to prompt (see Shutdown menu).
2. Type " xorgwizard " (without the quotes).
3. Select the " Choose " option.
4. Type " nvidia " or " fglrx "in the box and hit ENTER.
5. Choose a desired resolution.
6. You are recommended to then choose " Test "
7. Once you are done, Type " xwin " to restart X.

NOTE: After you have finished you can test video with
" Report Video " in the " File " menu of Quickpet.

If the driver completely fails


1. Exit from X to prompt (see Shutdown menu).
2. Type " xorgwizard " (without the quotes).
3. Select the " Choose " option.
4. Type " nv " (for nvidia cards) or " ati " (for ATI cards)
or you can try " vesa " in the box and hit ENTER.
5. Choose a desired resolution.
6. You are recommended to then choose " Test "
7. Once you are done, Type " xwin " to restart X.
8. When you are back in X open Puppy Package Manager and uninstall the driver.
9. Reboot.
If you have an nvidia card you can try another version

NOTE: After you have finished you can test video with
" Report Video " in the " File " menu of Quickpet.
